I took a couple of TIP41c transistors and wired them up to a 12v PSU and a couple of 12v LED rings. I then tapped off a couple of existing single LED switch lines using 10k resistors, so as to not disturb the electrical characteristics of the original circuit too much, and fed them to the base pins of the TIP41c transistors.

And it works. The two LED rings are pulsing alluringly.

Just need some sensors to play with now and to dig out some of my 12v LED strips. 🙂
